Oh, Good Gracious!

Ask me anything

July Umba Box
Yes, I’ve tried yet another monthly subscription box! The above photos is of the July Umba Box. Umba Box is different than any other monthly sub box that I get. Each month, I receive something(s) from an independent artist. This is my second box thus far and I’ve loved both. Each time, I’ve gotten two items in the box (but, according to their site, this may fluctuate).
The surprises this month were a set of letter pressed notecards from Patricia of Fourteen-Forty and a yellow leather bracelet from Ashley of The Pink Ruffle. For me, this surprise couldn’t get any better. I love to send little handmade packages and notes to friends around the world, and I’m definitely a jewelry whore. I especially love that I got the mustard yellow coloured bracelet as I love the colour, but don’t look very good in it, so I keep it to handbags and now jewelry.
Umba Box has several different subscription and gift options. You can do month-to-month, 3, 6, and/or 12 month recurring. They also offer an option to gift the subscription to a friend or loved one.
The box itself costs $25.00 and there is a $5.00 shipping fee. So, at $30.00/month it’s definitely a bit pricier than other sub boxes - but, you are supporting independent artists, which is always good. And, if you receive something you’re not crazy about - then consider yourself well-prepared with a birthday or Christmas gift to give.
If you’re interested in getting your own box, you can check out and subscribe to Umba Box here.  They’re also adding their own curated handmade shop in the near future, so if you want to get notified of those updates, make sure you join the mailing list!
